Trainee Opportunity

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic person to join our small team at Dovecote Gallery, as we further expand and grow our unique and diverse picture framing business.

Working alongside our experienced staff we will train and develop your skills, helping you to deliver high quality bespoke framing solutions for our customers. Everything we do is hand-made and hand finished and we will help you develop your skills and capabilities to ensure you become an asset to yourself and our customers.

You will learn how to talk with customers, to fully understand their needs and be able to describe how we can meet these requirements, including material selection and finishes, cutting and preparing framing materials, fabrication of work and glazing and mount selection.

We will use a mix of in house and third-party training to provide basic skills, which we will then develop further with hands on training in our workshop.

We are a living wage employer and are open to considering part time or flexible working for the right candidate, if that is your preference.
